Begin Again

Directed by John Carney, Begin Again is a movie about Love, Life and Music. Starring Mark Ruffalo who played as Dan, a record producer, battling between his personal life and career, Adam Levine played Dave Kohl, singer, song-writer who lost his vision on the music he wants to create when he got to taste the fame every musician dream of and finally cheated on his girlfriend Greta played by Keira Knightley.

In New York City where everything unexpected happen, Dan after losing his job in his own very company went to a bar and saw Greta who earlier left his boyfriend after finding out she has been cheated singing teary eyed. Dan suddenly stop and get into the beat of what he was hearing and his mind finally became creative and envision the musical arrangement that Greta’s song needed. As expected he came to Greta and offered to produce his music. Greta being at her worst emotional state, turned down Dan’s offer. But Dan did not stop from there they talked afterwards while drinking, Greta ending up paying the bill as Dan was really broke at the moment. Finally Greta accepted Dan’s offer and finally they made her first album and record all over New York City!

The movie was a breath of fresh air for me. No heavy drama and unbearable scenes. It was light and the songs were astonishing, music and lyrics well created. I left the movie house not feeling sorry for myself instead it gave me hope and changed my perspective of what I currently been undergoing.

Begin Again is a feel good movie and the music really made the difference. You will end up browsing the net for its soundtrack. Catch it on the theaters today and enjoy it as much as I did!
