Ruins of Neideck Castle at Franconian Switzerland

So we had a half day hike in Germany to a place they called Franconian Switzerland or Frankische Schweiz in German. From Nurnberg, it took us 1 hour to reach Germany's popular tourist retreat and one of the oldest tourist regions in the country.

It was the Romantic artists and poets in the 19th Century who gave the name Franconian Switzerland as its landscape was comparable to that of the Switzerland. The group aimed to reach the ruins of Neideck Castle. The castle is open to the public 24 hours a day and Admission Fee is free.

The hike went well, approximately, we reach the ruins of Neideck Castle in 2 hours. Mostly it was easy especially for me as this hike was different from what I experience in the Philippines. I may say that this was easy because of the cool temperature, although there was a part that was slippery, overall we manage to reach the ruins of Neideck Castle safely. A staircase was provided to climb the tower so people can enjoy the beautiful view of Franconian Switzerland.
